What is trauma ministry?
Trauma ministry is a time set aside for you to meet with a team, (normally two people) to talk about trauma (experience on any level) in a safe and confidential setting. Often life experiences create strongholds, (ways of thinking) that we just think we have to live with for the rest of our lives. Anxiety, shame, anger and many more. However, we believe that it's God's desire to release wholeness and healing. So we take the time to minister to you the truth. It's a series of conversation and prayers. It's a series of speaking and declaring truth and breaking off the lies that you have been believing. These things mentioned in this brochure are broken off by the power of God's love for you ad the mighty power of God. The word of God teaches that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and wickedness in high places. But in that, we also have Authority in Christ over these things. Most people don't understand that. But when they go through this time of ministry they come out changed, lighter, and find that the power of God's love is transforming and freeing.
Testimony:
I've struggled with addiction and experienced many different forms of trauma. I have struggled with mental health for most of my life, and even in my, going on 3 years, of sobriety, I could never shake the tormenting thoughts, insecurities, flashbacks, etc. I have tried many things in this world to find peace and healing. But it wasn't until I came to God and with the help of those at River of Life ministry praying over me that I found peace and hope for the future. For the first time in forever, I can face myself in the mirror and like what I see, because of who I am in Christ because He loves me. Because He is the one who saves. He is the one true doorway to joy and healing. For so long the devil was in my ear telling me lies about myself "You're not worthy" "You're ugly" "They'll never accept you" and "You'll never make it to heaven after the things you've done" But the devil is the liar. Jesus is the truth, the Holy Spirit is the Truth and I have experienced His grace firsthand. I received trauma ministry through a River of Life, and it was such a powerful supernatural experience being prayed for in the sanctuary. The presence of the Holy Spirit filled every inch of my body as we released stronghold after stronghold through prayer. The relief I feel is indescribable. It feels like a miracle. But that is the Spirit. HE is miraculous and there is nothing that can't be fixed through Him. If you or somebody you know is struggling with anything at all.
