statement of faith
We believe...
The Bible is the living word of God. It is the truth and it contains not only the answers to man’s problems, but it is the blueprint to man’s happiness.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(John 10:30, John 14:26, Philippians 2:5-7)
Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin. He was crucified on the cross and was resurrected from the dead on the third day. He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us.
(Luke 1:30-35, Acts 4:10-12, Hebrews 1:3-4)
God created man in His image, but sin has separated us from God.
(Genesis 1:26, 1 Timothy 2:5)
God desires for us to have a personal relationship with Him, so He sent His Son Jesus to offer us the free gift of salvation.
(Ephesians 2:8-9. Romans 5:1, Romans 3:24)
In water baptism as in the Bible: this is an outward sign of an inward transformation. It is a way that believers can identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
(Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Matthew 3:13-16)
The baptism of the Holy Spirit. This gift from God can empower the believer in their everyday lives.
(Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4)
Spiritual gifts are given to all believers. Their purpose is to strengthen one another and to show the unbeliever of God’s power today.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 1 Peter 4:10)
Sanctification is an ongoing process of allowing God’s character to be developed within us.
(Romans 6:19, Galatians 5:22-25)
Hell is a real place and without salvation (being born again) we cannot enter Heaven. God desires that no one would perish, but we all have free will and it is up to us.
(Hebrews 9:27, Revelations 20:12-15, John 3:3, John 3:16-18)
Jesus will return for the believers.
(Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Hebrews 9:28)
